Curious Cubs Forest School offers engaging and immersive school visits tailored for primary-aged children. We can bring the Forest School experience directly to your school or host your class in the enchanting surroundings of our woodland at Ragley Woods.

A visit to Curious Cubs, Ragley Woods, provides children with the freedom to play, explore, and learn in nature, fostering creativity and independence. Activities include imaginative play, teamwork, nature crafts, tool use, and the magic of campfires. Each visit is a unique opportunity to inspire curiosity, develop life skills, and build a connection to the natural world.
At Ragley Woods, children will experience the essence of Forest School by safely taking risks with the guidance of experienced adults. They’ll climb, swing, jump, balance, use hand tools, and enjoy toasting snacks on the campfire. Through these activities, children will engage in rich sensory experiences, discovering the sights, sounds, textures, and smells of the woodland environment.
They will tackle new challenges, build relationships, and work as a team—developing their communication and social skills. By embracing these opportunities, children will gain self-confidence and a sense of achievement, fostering the belief that they can accomplish anything.

What can you expect?
We offer tailored half-day and full-day Forest School experiences, either at your school or in the magical surroundings of Ragley Woods. Designed for primary-aged children (maximum of 30 per session), our programs align with school topics to enrich the curriculum and bring learning to life.

Included in every session:

Qualified Practitioners: Two Level 3 Forest School practitioners, one of whom is also an experienced secondary school teacher and the other has expertise in early years childcare.

Resources and Equipment: All tools, materials, and supplies needed for engaging and safe activities.

Campfire Treats and Refreshments: A campfire treat and drink for the children, with hot drinks provided for adults throughout the day.

Safety and Planning: Comprehensive risk assessments, insurance, and exclusive use of our private Ragley Woods site.

Pre-Visit Support: A site visit to discuss logistics and ensure everything is tailored to your needs.
