About Us
Our Mission
At Curious Cubs Forest School, our mission is to nurture the whole child through a holistic approach that encourages child-led play and exploration in the natural environment. We believe that by fostering a deep connection with nature, we support children’s emotional, physical, and social well-being, helping them to grow in confidence, resilience, and curiosity. Our Forest School provides a safe, inclusive space where children can thrive, discover, and develop a lifelong love for learning and the outdoors.
Kirsty Edwards

Founder of Curious Cubs with a dream of creating a space where children could be children, be free and reconnect with nature. To get muddy, be wild, be imaginative and grow at their own pace, in a safe natural environment.
Previously an experienced P.E teacher and Head of Key Stage, Kirsty has always loved teaching children and creating a nurturing environment. A qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader.

'From my teaching, it became apparent that there's a generational gap of where children are loosing contact with the outdoors and an understanding of our natural world. Something I took for granted growing up and was lucky enough to spend most days outside as a family. I strongly believe in the fundamental benefits of immersing yourselves in the outdoors, and its my mission to share and encourage the next generation.'
Jess Bowen
